Pastured Eggs
***AVAILABLE FOR PICKUP & DELIVERY IN BAKERSFIELD AND LOS ANGELES COUNTY ONLY. NO SHIPPING***
Knowing the difference in egg labeling is just half the battle. Pastured eggs mean that the chickens are able to access to a pasture or outdoor space at anytime - and spend their life outdoors.
Our chickens are kept in a mobile chicken coop where they rotate through the rows of vegetables after harvest is complete. This helps with not only replenishing the soil with nitrogen for the next crop, the chickens also remove any pests and they enjoy a diet of our organic vegetables. They get to scratch, eat bugs, bath in the dirt and enjoy natural sunlight. You'll find that chickens raised on pasture produce eggs that have a more orange colored yolk and the eggs have more flavor.
