Pastured EggsAutonomy Farms
Our hens live in a mobile chicken coop and are moved around the farm, spending all their time in the permanent pasture and old vegetable rows. We raise the hens in conjunction with our crop rotation and use them to help fertilize the ground. In addition to eating all the greens and bugs, their feed is occasionally supplemented with a corn and soy free grain. Our ultimate goal is to supplement their feed as little as possible to encourage them to forage.
The Araucanas have not started laying yet, so there are no green/blue eggs and all eggs are a mix of brown and white.
